I would like to wish all of my fellow bloggers on our wonderful class blog a HAPPY, FABULOUS, PROSPEROUS, and PRODUCTIVE new year. (If you are in my class, get out that rusty dictionary and find the meanings of the capitalized words. Remember: the "ous" ending has the same sound as "us" with a short "U' (not the Spanish "oo" sound.)
There is a prediction of a big snowstorm for Monday night, so listen to the radio or watch television for any school cancellation. Remember that a DELAY does not affect us. Of course if you have children in the regular school system , it would affect you.
On another subject: I am thinking of adding a new feature to our class blog called "MR. Leo's Mini-grammar Lesson. Whether I do this or not, will depend on how many students are able to read it each day. I know that many of you work second shift(3:00 to 11:00 or later) , so I will wait for your opinion................Stay warm.
Phetsamay.
ReplyDeleteYour dictionary is correct. When we use the word PROSPEROUS, we usually mean successful with money-------so----a prosperous person would be a person who has a lot of money. I hope the Thai restaurant you work in is prosperous. If they are, then you should make more money!
Happy New Year!!!
