Mystery Photo of the Week
This beautiful bird is called a macaw. You can buy one in a pet store. You will not see them flying around Worcester. Do you know where this picture was taken? It is from one of your countries. Tell us about it.
Vilma, I am sorry to disappoint you, but the photo was not taken in Ecuador. IT WAS TAKEN IN YOUR COUNTRY--HONDURAS! Evgjeni is correct, although I do not know how she knew about that park in Honduras. I didn't know that. I think Evgjeni has found the source (place) of my photos. I hope she will keep quiet about it. Evgjeni, are you listening?
Vilma, I can correct blogs; I cannot correct comments. Your comment has TWO sentences run together. Your comment should read: I think this picture was taken in Ecuador. All the students will agree with me, and you too, teacher.
Evgjeni, I am sure that somewhere in Italy there is a guy named Charles Darvini. I think you mean Charles DARWIN.---Here are some other corrections: daughter, excursion TO the Galapagos----etc. not ect...(Keep writing.)
Micaela, It is so nice to hear from the West Coast! I envy the nice temperatures you must be experiencing in San Francisco this time of year. Have you seen any macaws flying around the Fairmont Hotel lately?-----Oh, by the way, I just finished reading a fabulous book about San Francisco. Its title is "A Crack in the Earth". It is about the earthquake of 1906. The first half of the book explains the geology of the world and the second half gets to talking about San Francisco.....Keep in touch....Your mother too!......

Vilma,
ReplyDeleteThis is how it should be written: I said, "Hmmm, this picture was taken in Ecuador."
When I saw that picture I first thought about Ecuador too...
