Arch in Pyongyang, North Korea

Here you can see a bigger photo OF the same Korean arch. It is a monumental statue and you can read more about it ON this oriental architecture website.

There you can read this explanation: "This sculpture stradling a Pyongyang highway was constructed in 2001. It pays homage to the Three-Point Charter for National Reunification. The two women on the monument, clad in traditional 'hanbok' costume, represent North and South Korea coming together."

Thank you, Micaela.....aka Gabriela......The closeup view is much better than the one I found. How are things in San Francisco. It is a great city. I spent 11 days there in the July of 1996 as a delegate to the National Education Association (NEA) Convention in the Mosconi Center. Bill and Hilary Clinton were there.
I also remember the Fairmont Hotel. I think the Clintons stayed there. They have a nice glass elevator that goes up the outside of the building. There is a nice view of the city from the top.----------You should post your picture on the blog so that we can see if you look like your mother.

I do not kow how to edit a comment yet. I should have PROOFREAD my first comment because I see that I made a few mistakes: Take out the word "the" before the word "July".
