Our Neighborhood Peace Park
It was the dream of a woman...Year after year the neighbors met at the corner of Winslow and Pleasant StREET to start the Clean Up of Earth Day. THERE was an abandoned lot WHICH WAS full of trash. The dreamer said, " Let'S make a park AS A memorial TO the youth victimized by the violence in our neighborhood." And we, the group, decideD to try and see if we COULD give birth to a COOPERATIVE project.
WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THE PARK FOR TWO YEARS. IN August, our park is going to open ITS doors to neighbors and city residents. This park means not only a beautiful place FOR rest and makING friends, BUT ALSO a place to be proud of AND to hope for a better community life.

However, I wasn't sure about the date that the park is opening. Is the park opening THIS August or August 2009?
The park is an amazing accomplishment! I hope Worcester appreciates "Women Together" and its newest park and how it came to be....just amazing what people can do!
The park will be opened to the public on August 2008. It is already open for Women Together members to plant, and work.
I didn't get the job but i still have hope because they didn't say no eather. You should come to my home to see the brick oven. It is finished now.
Can I bring my own hot dog?
