Hello from Montevideo

Here I am!!! Suddenly I found myself traveling to Montevideo. I will be here for two weeks. I am taking care of my grandson, so I can't go out often.

Seems that I close my eyes for 5 years, but my eyes have changed. Today I took a bus and re-discovered my people. The bus was full. Everybody was dressed in black or gray. Nobody was Afro-descendant or Amerindian or Caribbean.

Hello Lakale,
Montevideo is a long way from California! I thought your daughter was fighting the fires among the chapparal growth in the hills out there.(?) Did she pack up and move back to Uruguay?
How mu ch does gasoline cost in Montevideo?

gasoline cost 6 dollars a gallon. My daughter lives in Montevideo now and, yes, the firefighters were fighting the fire to defend her house in the mountain at north California two days ago, but fortunately it was 100% successful
