THE FAMILY REUNION

On November 16, 2005, my mother is finally coming to visit me after eight years. We haven't seen each other all this time. Everything happened so quickly that I wasn't sure that my mother was coming. My mother is not the only one coming. My brother Rafael who lives in New York is coming and my sister Evelyn is also coming. She lives in Georgia. My mother will stay two weeks. I will not be able to come to school during those two weeks. I know that you are a great teacher, but I will have to stay home to take care of her. See you soon, and have a happy Thanksgiving!

Clara,
This is November 8, and November 16 is eight days away. Come to school until the time that you have to leave. I may have to drop you as a student if you are gone too long because attendance is very important to the Department of Education and our Adult Learning Center. Talk to me tomorrow.

Clara,
You wrote your story using all capital letters so I had to rewrite your whole story. (I usually put corrections in capital letters.) Once again, please do not FLY THE COOP just yet. I need to have Ken give you the Best Plus Test before Thanksgiving. In fact, I hope we can do it TOMORROW.
(Nice story.)
