Here are two quick items written nearly a year ago at Denver's airport...

Pluck of the Irish

My brother had told me, years ago,
And this I know to be fact
The diff’rence ‘tween Irish wedding and wake
Is the Irishman not coming back

Both should always be joyous affairs
Where laughter and stories abound
We can toast to the happy couple to be
Or remember the one not around

Denver Dusk

Nightfall settles
Over city of light
Like a shimmering blanket
To be folded in the morn’

" Both should always be joyous affairs..." Now you know why I told you to KEEP YOUR DAY JOB WHEN YOU READ ME YOUR POEM THE DAY OF YOUR FATHER'S FUNERAL.(You get an "A" for "Pluck of the Irish". I will let others comment on "Denver Dusk".
